With all of the debate and discussion about healthcare plans, one thing is certain: no matter our earthly healthcare, we all will die. The Good News of Easter is that God has his Healthcare Plan that can be summarized in two words: The Resurrection!
The audio picks up the introduction to the message as I'm reading in Colossians 1:15. Then respond as the Lord leads you. After all, Christ is Risen Indeed!

A Survey of Frequently Asked
Questions
Question
1: Who is covered?
** Good
question… after all, don’t want to waste a lot of time talking about a plan
that only covers, say, left-handed, green-eyed,
pygmies who drive Mack trucks in Wisconsin delivering cheese for a living.
Point:
The Good News…God’s healthcare plan offers universal coverage…
…God’s plan is open to anyone who would
receive it.
2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slow about
his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.”
Question
2: What about preexisting conditions?
** We all have a preexisting
condition…it’s called, “Sin.”
Romans 3:23 – “All have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God.”
Note: You may think, “Well…my
sin is not as bad as someone else’s.”…
…and that may be true.
Point: Everyone has sinned…we’re all
genetically predisposed to the most fatal disease of all.
Application: Truth is…we all have a preexisting
condition: Sin.
Point:
The Good News…God’s plan is comprehensive…
…Not only does it cover EVERY kind of
person…
…but it covers EVERY preexisting
condition (i.e.: every sin anyone has or will
committed)
Question
3: What’s the cost?
** Here’s the bad news… You cannot afford it…
…don’t have the right capital to buy it… enough of
what it takes – God’s currency is Holiness/Purity…
…and because of our preexisting condition, we’re bankrupt.
** The Good News… God’s Healthcare Plan does NOT cost
us anything…
…but it is not cheap since it cost Jesus everything.
Romans 5:8 – “God proves his love for us
in that, while we were still sinners, …at the right time, Christ died for us.”
** There has been lots of talk about the cost of
healthcare… does it increase or reduce the national debt?
Point: The Good News…God’s healthcare plan
is paid for by Jesus.
Recap: Isn’t
it amazing that though you cannot afford the most incomparable Healthcare Plan,
we can still receive the benefits of it
because Jesus paid our premium.
Question
4: How can I enroll?
Q: How can I enroll?
A:
Well…you can’t! God has to
enroll you into the plan…
…but the Good News is, after understanding the Plan…
…enrollment is as available and secure in faith.
Romans 10:9, 13 – “If you confess with
your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from
the dead, you will be saved. For, ‘Everyone
who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”
Colossians 3:20-22 – “…through [Jesus],
God was pleased to reconcile
to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through
the blood of his cross. Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in
your minds because of your evil behavior.
But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to
present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.”
Point: The Easter Miracle teaches us the God’s
Healthcare Plan is incomparable…
…it is managed by the Great Physician, not some bureaucrat…
…it’s first patient was the Doctor Himself who proved
the plan works flawlessly.
Colossians 1:15 – “[Jesus] is the image
of the invisible God, the firstborn
of all creation.”
Note:
“Firstborn” = Greek: protokos…
from which we derive our English, “prototype”
Note:
Jesus is the prototype of what God wants to do for us.
Point:
And Jesus shows us the way…because he IS the way…
…and we enroll, by faith, as soon as we
accept God’s provision.
